Is douching really necessary?
Douching is not necessary, but instead is a preference. If you are going to douche for anal sex, less is more! The Better Bottoming Bulb is the perfect size to prevent over-douching and avoiding trapped water in the sigmoid colon.
Why is The Better Bottoming Bulb so much smaller than other douches?
Other douches shoot water way past the rectosigmoid colon into the sigmoid colon, making prep a time-consuming nightmare and throwing off your regularity.
Our douche (3 oz capacity and 2.3 inch tip) is made to only clean out the rectum and prevent water being sent past the rectosigmoid colon, making prep a snatch.
How should I clean my douche?
Sarolit™ douches like ours or silicone douches can be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial handsoap. Submerge the douche bulb in water, squeeze the bulb to suck up the water, give it a little shake, and leave the bulb submerged for 3 minutes.
If you are using a rubber douche, we recommend swapping to a Sarolit™ or silicone douche for optimal hygiene. Sarolit and silicone are nonporous whereas rubber is very porous, trapping bacteria and eroding the material.
What is The Better Bottoming Bulb made of?
Anti-bacterial Sarolit™. It is a USP Class II medical-grade plastisol.
It is free of DEHP, BDP, BBP and latex.
Unlike rubber, Sarolit™ is a much tougher and non-porous.
